Which cup fold should I use?
The following folds can be used to insert the cup. It can take some practice to get them right, and some folds are better for different women than others.
The C Fold:
Commonly recommended and used, although the widest to insert. Fold your cup in half by squeezing the top lips together. Slowly bend the cup in half again, then insert. It will pop open when you release it in the vagina.
The Punchdown Fold:
Popular fold and one of the smallest to insert. Use a finger to push the lip of the cup down to the base, then squeeze the edges together. Insert high, allow to pop open, then nudge as high into the vagina as you can.
The 7 Fold:
An ideal fold for younger girls or women who has trouble inserting a cup. Fold your cup in half by squeezing the top lips together. Pull down the right side to form a ‘7’. Insert, allow to pop open in the vagina.
Easier to pop open and still small when folded, this one is popular. Push the lip halfway inside the cup (in the same way as the punchdown fold but not as far) and then pull down the right corner to the base of the left side.
